Biography

I have been a local guide for eight years, but I have been walking in Bchaaleh since I was born because it is my hometown. As a child, I explored the region with my parents, and I have lived here my whole life. During the week I work in Beirut, but I always return to Bchaaleh on weekends and holidays.

I am a guide with Bchaaleh Trails Association, where I lead hikers of all levels on the village trails and those connecting to nearby areas like Tannourine, Douma, and Arz Jaj.

Walking, for me, is relaxation. It’s being close to nature. We observe the plants, flowers, and landscape, all in peace. And then, it’s a very healthy physical activity!

What I like in my activity as a guide is to make my village known. I am deeply attached to it. Everything is beautiful there. It has many remarkable places: the fortress, the monasteries, the churches… I would have a hard time deciding which one I prefer! And there are the “millennial olive trees” when I approach them, I always feel a deep emotion. This is also something I like to share with hikers.
