Biography

I embarked on my journey as a hiking and tourist guide around 2017, under the banner of the Bchaaleh Trails Association. My training was a collaborative effort, with support from USAID and other reputable organizations.

Hailing from Bchaaleh, a village that holds a special place in my heart, I chose to pursue the path of guiding out of a genuine passion for nature, exploration, and immersing myself in my surroundings. My background in scouting further deepened this connection, offering me insights into the intricacies of the natural world and the forests, fostering a deeper understanding.

Presently, I have the privilege of guiding hikers of diverse origins and skill levels. Whether they’re seasoned adventurers or novices, I lead them through the captivating Bchaaleh trails, extending my focus even to schoolchildren, introducing them to the wonders of their environment.

Among my treasured circuits in Bchaaleh are the Shir Trail, a challenging 2-hour hike through rugged terrain, and the Mar Sarkis Trail, a more accessible route lasting 2 to 2.5 hours, contingent upon participants’ fitness levels. Both paths offer picturesque vistas that celebrate the beauty of nature.

Ultimately, being a guide reinforces my adoration for this land, a land that our forebears toiled over with tremendous dedication and valor, shaping it into the remarkable place it is today. This role also grants me the privilege of sharing and passing down this narrative to visitors hailing from Lebanon and all corners of the globe.
