Bchaaleh Trails Association is dedicated to preserving and sharing the village’s natural and cultural heritage, from its millennium olive trees to its living traditions.
Through sustainable, inclusive tourism experiences, we connect visitors with Bchaaleh’s landscapes, history, and daily life while empowering the community to lead, collaborate, and shape the future of their home.

Bchaaleh Trails Association (BTA)
Welcome to Bchaaleh Trails Association (BTA), a non-governmental organization dedicated to transforming your visit to Bchaaleh into an unforgettable adventure. Embark on a journey with us and discover the beauty of nature, culture, and community based spirit in this charming Lebanese village.
Bchaaleh Trails Association (BTA) journey began in July 2018 with the initiation of the Bchaaleh Hiking Trail Network Project funded by USAID under the LIVCD project in collaboration with Bchaaleh Municipality and Bchaaleh Association for Development.
Over the years, our dedicated team has thrived to create and preserve a meaningful responsible tourism in the village.
In 2021, we achieved two significant milestones. The first is connecting our trails to the Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT) through the thematic side trail “Noah’s Olive Trail”. The second is partnering with The Olive Routes one of the cultural routes of the Council of Europe. These steps put Bchaaleh village on the national and international touristic map and lead us to further develop and enhance sustainable tourism activities and experiences, creating a positive impact on both guests and the local community.
In 2023, BTA marked a major milestone with the inauguration of the Eco-Museum of the Olive Tree Culture, realized with the support of the Municipality of Bchaaleh, the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO, and the Ministry of Culture. This step transformed years of trail development and heritage advocacy into a living cultural space that celebrates the village’s millennial olive trees and their enduring legacy. Through interactive stations dedicated to olive cultivation, traditional soap making, and local history, the ecomuseum became a gateway for visitors to experience Bchaaleh not only as a destination, but as a living story rooted in nature, culture, and community.

Diverse Hiking Trails
Our meticulously designed hiking trails, spanning 28 km, cater to hikers of all levels. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced enthusiast, our trails offer breathtaking views, historical sites, and a connection to the natural beauty of Bchaaleh. Choose from themed hikes such as sunset hikes, snowshoeing adventures, or full moon hikes with camping.
Millennial Olive Trees Tour
Explore the enchanting world of the world’s oldest olive trees, a UNESCO-recognized natural heritage. Engage in guided tours that unveil the tangile and intangible cultural heritage surrounding these ancient trees.
Cultural Immersion
Immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Bchaaleh. Visit the seven historical monasteries, explore caves, sarcophagi, and traditional agricultural rooms “Mantaras”. Wander through the ruins of Al Hossen fortress, and discover the unrevealed archaeological city. Our village, adorned with traditional houses, offers a unique blend of natural, rural, historical, and authentic experiences.
