Biography

Originally from the town of Bcharreh, I grew up and still live in Bchaaleh where I work in electro-mechanical engineering, notably in organic wine and spirits projects. I am also a firefighter and a volunteer in reforestation projects.

A lover of nature and of our cultural heritage, I organically came to hiking as a means of reconnecting with the biodiversity that surrounds us and our place in it. Getting my guide trainings was the logical step forward to share my passion and show the way forward to appreciate the treasures we have amidst our mountains and valleys. I completed the LMT  as well as the Darb Mar Charbel trainings and all the necessary first aid and disability related competencies and a rural tourism professional course in order to pursue this vocation to an international standard.

With my connection to experts in many fields I am able to organise various hikes and tours on demand. I notably offer seasonal biodiversity hikes with specialists in their respective fields, awareness raising hikes, environmental action events as well as spiritual walks in various regions.

So whether it’s for an afternoon botanical stride in the shade of Bchaaleh’s hills or a full pilgrimage from Sgharta’s Qozhaya monastery of St Anthony the Great to St. Peter and Paul’s hermitage (the place where st. Charbel spent his hermit years), I am always available in Bchaaleh and can be booked in advance for hikes and tours all over Lebanon. You are in for a rich experience, refined and passionate, where culinary art meets tales of forgotten craftsmanship and trails of Mediterranean herbs.
